September is right around the corner and who is ready for a long weekend? Longview ISD campuses and district offices will be closed on Monday, September 1 in observance of Labor Day. Classes and district offices will be open for regular operating hours on Tuesday, September 2 and buses will run their regular route.
With the new bi-weekly schedule, expect a more jam packed newsletter in your inbox!

Lobo football begins Friday, August 29, at Lobo Stadium. Lobo Nation will be on the field for pregame to join the Big Green Victory Line with the Lobo cheerleaders and Viewettes. Don't forget to wear your Green Out T-shirt and be part of the Lobo fun, spirit, and pride!
Tickets will be $8 at the gate.

Calling all future Lobos! The Lil Crew Volleyball program is designed for 2nd–4th graders who want to build a love for the game while developing teamwork, motor skills, and confidence on the court.

Cost: $240/athlete (includes uniform, coach, 8 training sessions, and 2 playdays – Jan. 3 & Feb. 7). Payment can be made in three installments.

The Longview Majorettes are excited to host their annual Mini Camp on Saturday, October 4, from 9:00-Noon at the Lobo Coliseum. This fun-filled camp is open to all students from Pre-K through 8th grade.
Campers will learn a routine during the morning session that they will proudly perform during the first quarter of the Lobo Football game on Friday, October 10!

Longview ISD invites families and community members to a special School Safety Night on Tuesday, September 23, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Foster Middle School.
This important event will feature panel discussions with first responders, law enforcement officers, district staff, and mental health professionals, followed by a Q&A session to address your questions and concerns.
In addition to these meaningful conversations, guests can enjoy food, vendors, prizes, and more! Plus, childcare will be provided so all families can attend.

The Longview High School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is seeking new members. The group works to support students, teachers, and families through volunteerism, community involvement, and encouragement. Membership is just $10 per person.
If you would like to be involved with your student’s PTO, please reach out to Longview High School for membership information.
Bus transportation is available for all eligible* K-12 students for daily pick-up and drop-off. Each campus will have one set morning arrival and afternoon dismissal time.
We ask that your student be at their designated bus stop at least 10 minutes before the posted time to avoid missing the bus.
IMPORTANT*: Transportation is not provided for Choose LISD students that are not attending their school zone or may be out of district.

Guardians, we have heard from you and we have been tirelessly working to correct the access issues we have encountered with Rooms in the Longview ISD app. GOOD NEWS! We officially found the technical glitch that caused some teachers and guardians to lose access to Rooms due to roster syncing.
With that said, we wanted you to know a fix is on the way!
